2017 TBP Performance Review

2017 has been a humbling experience for us at TipBetPro as we have succombed to our first ever losing year. We'll be pleased to wipe the slate clear and start again in 2018 after a 2017 that saw us lose the best part of 13 units which equated to a -3% Return on Investment (RoI) over all bets placed.

The big success for TBP was the performance of new sport added to the portfolio - netball - which was comfortably our best performing sport with a 9 unit (+15% RoI) win. NBL started the year in incredible fashion picking up 15 units over the back-end of the 2016/17 NBL season, however a horror start to the 2017/18 season has seen us hand that entire profit back.

Poor performances in NRL and ODI cricket and only modest performances in other sports ensured TBP ended 2017 with a loss.

Looking at it from the perspective of an initial investment of $20,000 and $500 per bet and we see that a 13 unit loss is equivalent to a 35% reduction in portfolio. A particularly disappointing result given that half way through the year we were heading for a comfortable profit after the netball sucess.

Overall though TBP profits remain solid since we first started publishing bets publicly in 2014. Whilst we have had a downturn in 2017, we remain committed to working hard to get things back on track and are confident of a return to better times in 2018!
