AFL Round 12 Wrap

Sooooooo ... this is awkward ... ummmmm sorry about that! What a disaster - the worst week in the 5 year history of TipBetPro with just 2 of 9 tips (4 less than favourites!) and losing every bet ... 11 of them across head to head and novelties ... it was an absolute disaster! So let's take a quick look at the Head to Head and where it all went wrong:

Port vs Dogs: To be honest we are not unhappy with this bet. Port had more Inside 50's and more scoring shots than the Dogs but just could not match the Dogs for efficiency. A narrow 3 point loss in a game that could have gone either way.

Brisbane vs Freo: Okay this one tests us (to the point that we went back and checked the model to see if there was an error). But the fact is Brisbane had no right to be humiliated by a side that had won one game, were making the longest interstate trip in footy and were missing their two best key defenders, two best rucks, best key forward, Brownlow medal winning midfielder and star off-season recruit. To be frank Brisbane were pathetic and heads should roll over that performance.

North vs Geelong: Sometimes bad luck hits and with the North midfield losing Andrew Swallow and Ben Cunnington during the game as well as Nick Dal Santo being forced to play on injured then it was always going to be tough for North to compete in the midfield. A Patrick Dangerfield and Joel Selwood masterclass proved too much for the ladder-leaders.

Sydney vs GWS: Like the North bet, the Sydney bet took a hit on the back of some in-game injuries, particularly to star ruckman Kurt Tippett and pacey forward Gary Rohan. Credit where it is due though - the Giants put aside a fortnight of patchy form to return to home and put in one of their best ever games against their cross-town rivals.

Collingwood vs Melbourne: No excuses here - the Pies were woeful and Melbourne had their way with them. The Demons are highly inconsistent but unquestionably on the rise - there is a hint of 2015 Dogs about this Demons side and the way their youth is progressing.

Okay let's put that round behind us and never speak of it again!!!!
